  • Identification

    Must bring one piece of valid government issued photo ID.

  • Visit Duration

    30 minutes typically. During the week if someone is coming from out of town they may be able to get two timeslots (1 hour) but has to be pre approved.

  • Number of Visitors

    2 adults and 2 kids

  • Storage for Belongings

    There are lockers available.

  • Electronics

    No phones allowed out during the visit. You can keep your phone in your bag but if it comes out your visit will be immediately cancelled.

  • Washrooms

    There are no washrooms for visitors.

  • Accessibility

    The area is not currently wheelchair accessible.

  • Parking

    There is metered parking on the street outside.

Stratford Jail is situated in the heart of downtown Stratford, Ontario, on St. Andrew Street between Church Street and Birmingham Street.

Visiting Details

Visits are through glass. There are two benches for visitors so 2 adults are allowed and visitors may bring up to 2 children.

Security

No cell phones allowed during visits. There are no metal detectors or similar security measures for visits since they are done through glass.
